Voice Bonsai is an AI voice and chat receptionist service operated by Bonsai Marketing Company ("Voice Bonsai," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It applies to voicebonsai.com, the Voice Bonsai customer dashboard, and the AI voice and chat agents that operate on behalf of our customers.
If you are an end user calling a business that uses Voice Bonsai, the business you are calling is the controller of your personal information; Voice Bonsai acts as a service provider / processor on their behalf. Their own privacy notice governs how they use your information.
When you visit voicebonsai.com, request a demo, fill out a contact form, or subscribe to communications, we collect the information you submit — for example, your name, business name, business email, phone number, industry, website, and any message you include. We also collect basic technical information about your visit (IP address, browser, pages viewed) through standard server logs and analytics.
When you sign up for Voice Bonsai, we collect billing and account information necessary to provide the service, including your business name, contact name, billing address, payment-method details (handled by our payment processor), and the configuration data you provide for your AI agent (greeting scripts, business hours, calendar links, CRM integrations).

The Voice Bonsai marketing site uses cookies and similar technologies for: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, measuring how the site is used, and supporting marketing campaigns. The Voice Bonsai customer dashboard uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the service and cannot be disabled while you are signed in.
Marketing leads — contact-form submissions and prospect data are retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Customer accounts — account, billing, and configuration data are retained for the life of the account and for up to 7 years after closure to meet tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.
Call recordings and transcripts — by default, recordings and transcripts are retained for 12 months. Customers can adjust retention in their account settings, subject to a minimum (30 days) to support troubleshooting and dispute resolution and a maximum permitted by applicable law.

Voice Bonsai records and transcribes phone calls handled by the AI agent. Recording laws vary by state and country, and some jurisdictions require all parties to a call to consent to being recorded.
The customer business using Voice Bonsai is responsible for obtaining any required consents from callers under applicable law, including by playing or providing a recording disclosure before the call begins. Voice Bonsai offers an optional disclosure-greeting feature ("This call may be recorded for quality and service purposes") that customers can enable; the customer remains responsible for compliance regardless of whether that feature is enabled.
If you are an end user and do not consent to being recorded, you may decline to continue the call and contact the business by another channel.
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, logging, and vendor due-diligence reviews. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
Voice Bonsai is built for use by businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Voice Bonsai is operated from the United States, and our subprocessors generally process information in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your home country.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify customers by email or through the dashboard. Your continued use of Voice Bonsai after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
